Established in 2012, Pragati Education and Charitable Trust is a registered non-profit organization committed to creating self-reliant communities through education, skill development, and welfare initiatives. Since our inception, we have focused on empowering women by providing vocational training and opportunities for self-employment, especially in rural areas around Rajkot, Gujarat.
🌱 Our Journey
Our journey began with a single goal: to help women achieve financial independence. In the year 2012-13, we introduced our first Fashion Designing and Garment Making courses, aimed at nurturing skills aligned with the small-scale industry sector. By 2013-14, many of our trainees had already begun applying their knowledge to start their own ventures or secure jobs.
Since then, our reach and impact have expanded significantly:
- 300+ women are now employed in garment-making through our programs
- 180+ trained fashion designers have successfully launched their own businesses or joined small manufacturing units
- Our training centers are active across multiple villages in Rajkot district, offering hands-on, practical education tailored to local needs
